Thanksgiving Day

Today is Thanksgiving Day here in the US. Traditionally families gather together to count their blessings and enjoy a holiday feast. We gathered together with Drew yesterday in the prison visitation room.

Drew’s demeanor is very sad. He fears everything including being hopeful. We watch him grow increasingly more hopeless. He told us he has a hard time trusting people or believing that anyone is going to get him out of there.

I can’t describe how difficult it is to wake up and live through a day knowing your innocent son is in prison. Understandably, holidays are more difficult.

It’s my nature to look for the good, to find it even if I have to create it myself. So today I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has signed this petition, left a comment, called or written the governor supporting a pardon. Thank you to everyone who has written to Drew and to us. We feel your support. I’m grateful for all the people praying for Drew. Even though prayers haven’t released him from prison yet, we believe they have protected him while he is in there.

I look forward to the day when I can share a more positive update. In the meantime we will continue to do everything possible to ensure that Drew’s case is properly investigated and that Drew will come home with his rights and reputation restored.

With Gratitude,

Judy and John Harrison
