Protecting Her Young

What will a mother risk to protect and save the life of her child?  In this photo the eagle risks her very own life to protect her young bird from the fox.  She makes herself vulnerable by coming so close to danger, and exposing herself boldly and openly. But, instinctually she knows she must. The fox after all is determined to take her young bird away from her. She will not allow this to happen.

So, here I am. Much like the eagle mom in the photo I am making myself seen and our story told as a way of protecting my son from, in this case, our judicial system.  If I don’t protect him who will?
